Fair Day!

The county fair is happening this week, at first I was all 'uhhh it's so much work'. But then I was all, 'but the girls will love it'. And they did.

So us Austin's loaded up and headed to the Benton Franklin County Fair! I wanted to get there early in order to beat the crowds and the 95° weather. Mission accomplished, we were there when the opened and were home at noon.

"Yeehaws" make her world go round.

We were sure to hit up all the animal barns, the girls loved loved loved the chickens and rabbits. Although as the animals got bigger Reagan grew more aprehensive. Carter however would have been giving them all a test drive had it not been for her stoller buckle.

Carter did a lot of pointing, and would pet anything that came within reach.

I just have to comment on all the 4H kids we came across, they were all so amazing! They are all so outgoing and friendly, each of them asking if the girls wanted to pet their hens, sheeps, goats... And they would just talk and talk about their animals, I loved seeing their passion and love for what they do. It made me really hopeful that our kids will want to participate in clubs and groups like these to help develop different parts of their personalities.

We hit up the hot dog stand for some lunch and headed back to the car so I could nurse Lincoln before heading home.

It was fun! We all had a great time, Lincoln was, as always, perfectly behaved. And we had limited meltdowns from the girls...

It was short and sweet, and a quick way to drop a buck. I can't imagine how expensive a fun family day like this will be when the kids don't get free admission, and require more than half a hot dog each.

Reag pouting because they got cotton candy instead of ice cream.'Hmmpfff, life is hard'.

1 2 3 Month Comparison Pictures

This is my third round of comparison pics, even though by the end of the first year it grows a little tedious, I always love looking back and seeing how they change from month to month.

Three Months

Sweet Baby Lincoln,

Another perfect month from you. Thank you.

You are so good and quiet, sometimes I even forget you are in the room. You are completely happy just to lay in your pack n play or in the swing and listen to the craziness that is your family. You love to lay on the floor and watch your big sisters play.

But every two hours, like clockwork, you start to grumble and stir. Time to eat.

You get tucked into bed about 9p and sleep until 7a or so.

You will have a checkup next month, I cant wait to see how big you have gotten. You seem to be getting longer by the day and heavier by the minute.

We all love you so so much.

XOXO,

Momma

A little TLC for our home

Our to do list for the house seems to be never ending, five seconds after finishing a project we are looking around for the next project to start.

One of the things on our list was having the exterior of our house painted. And this weekend it got crossed off our list with a big red marker!

*Please excuse the deadish grass, we're elbows deep in 100 degree temps with watering restrictions*

We chose a medium gray, in attempts to keep it neutral for resale purposes. I love it, and what I love even more is the fact that the most work I had to do was moving those planters away from the house. I'm all for a good DIY project, but this is one I did NOT want to take on. Cody and I were sure to save up and even forfeited our vacation money for this one. #worthit
