Six Months

The sweetest boy that ever did live.

Happy half birthday little guy. We have your checkup in a couple weeks, cant wait to see where you clock in at for measurements.

I really don't have much to say this month that I haven't already said. You continue to be amazing, growing like a weed. Love your sisters. Love bath time, being talked to and playing with your rattles.

I think these pictures may speak for themselves.

We love you sweet boy, more than words could ever begin to describe.

XOXO,

Momma

Lincoln's Stats:
Height: 27.5 inches (79%)
Weight: 18 lbs 3 oz (60%)

CJ's .08 second ride

We went to visit the hee'haws at the farm, and all this sweet girl wanted to do "ride?". So I told mom to throw her leg over knowing full well that good ole Chucky boy would take off, but to a pony loving one year old that's all she needed.

Strawberry Hunting

The other day while Reagan was at preschool, Carter and I snuck outside to tackle some chores.

No more strawberries this year, but I'll let you tell her that.

Fall seemed to hit hard, all at once, we went from temps in the 80's to the cool 50's during the day. Luckily we can still count on our sunshine most of the time.

I mowed the lawn for the last time of the season this week.

The stores have finally hit full on Christmas, I remind myself daily not to forget we still have Thanksgiving ahead of us. Approaching quickly I might add.

Happy weekend!

FAMILY PICTURES!!!

I believe the kids these days are calling it ''geeking out''. Yeah, I'm totally geeking out. I spent no less than four hours staring and flipping through them all. Narrowing it down one by one, it was a painful process.

First, I have to say what a great time we had taking the pictures, I was so nervous about how the girls would act. I strategically timed Carter's nap that day so that I could prep/pack for the shoot and also insure that she would be rested, I knew our photo's would last well past bedtime. So giving her a late nap was a must.

Second, I'm so glad we did them- considering we had all of zero professional pictures of our family this was long overdue. Time has just gone by so fast, and there seemed to always be a "wait till this baby's born" "wait till I lose 20 lbs" "ok, wait till THIS baby's born" excuse. So finally no more excuses!

Third, we'll most likely be waiting another three years before we have prof pictures taken again. Reagan seemed to be at the perfect age, when Lincoln is three we'll give it another go. Sorry folks, you're stuck with my blurry cell snaps for now!!

So, the package we went with included three digital files, meaning we get the pic and can print to our hearts desire. It also included a handful of prints of various sizes. Those will take a bit to come in, so for now I'll just jump right to what I actually have to show you.

This one just makes my heart so happy. It's EXACTLY what I wanted Ann to capture about our family. This is our daily life people. Me trying to get Carter to sit down for the picture, Carter beating to her own drum and all of us cracking up. I'm sure CJ was saying something crazy, and look at the way Reagan is looking at her. It's amazing, this life I get to call mine. I made sure to get this as a file so I can print it off nice and big and finally fill that empty frame that's been hanging in our hallway for over a year now.

Moving on. US! Cody and Ashley. Ashley and Cody. I love our wedding pictures, in fact I have three of my favorites hanging up in our house. But I would love to freshen up one or two of those with a more recent picture. I mean, we're headed towards our fifth anniversary this Spring. Maybe it's about time we give them an update.

And since we loved both of these so much, we got them both.

I know what you're thinking, "family pictures? you mean Ashley and Cody kissing on the fence pictures..."

And to that I say "SO?!"

I'll keep you posted when our prints arrive.

These, are the days of our lives.

So just a little update on our lives. Posts have been sparse around here lately, the days seem to fly by and it's easy to choose to do other things in my limited free time, like shower or eat a real meal. But here I am making an effort to document our days. Because before I know it, I'll be 50 and have all the free time in the world, but nothing to type about.

We're doing the preschool shuffle three times a week. I had no idea what a big commitment I was making when I signed Reagan up. Getting out the door in the morning means abiding by a strict time schedule. But she loves it, and I can tell she is learning a lot so it's all worth it.

We've all managed to have/maintain stuffy/runny noses since preschool started, so that's been fun.

Reagan is, like I mentioned, getting so smart. She is such a good girl and always gets praise from her teachers. She is a good listener and a great helper both at school and at home.

Carter is entering...? Still in...hopefully ending her terrible two's phase. She's a tricky one that girl. She has such an amazing vocabulary, always popping off with the wildest phrases or comments. She has such a wild spirit, a true dare devil. Always running, jumping, climbing and always on things she shouldn't. She puts me to my limits that girl, but I'm so very excited to see what kind of wild and crazy life she ends up living.

Lincoln is, well awesome. Such a good baby, just along for the ride most of the time. Growing like crazy, wearing 12 month clothes. Rolling over from front to back and back to front, and just started trying to tuck his chunky little legs up underneath him - next stop crawling. Which I am totally and completely not prepared for. The broom and I will have to become much better friends.

I've been busy (see above) but also with my etsy shop. Orders have been steady, and I've been working on lots of custom items, which is fun but more time consuming. I started the shop in the beginning of the year, and now that the year is coming to an end I'm excited to see what the second year of business brings me..hopefully out of the red.

I'm on the look out for a really good household organizer/calendar, preferably one that meal plans and grocery shops for me. If you have any recommendations shoot them my way.

I've been patiently waiting on our family pictures, Ann threw us this teaser and I've been pacing back and forth ever since.

Cody is also keeping busy, between work and accomplishing my hunny-do list, he's barely been able to get a moments rest.

We've been dreaming tough about our next house. Which usually is just a horrendous roller coaster of emotion.
"OMG THIS IS IT, I LOVE IT! LETS BUY IT! oh, our house isn't ready to sell. I don't want to move in the winter. anxiety anxiety anxiety...BUT WHAT IF THIS IS IT, IT'S MY DREAM HOME". overwhelmed feelings mixed with anger and sadness.....
Kinda like that. But multiply times six.

Really starting to look forward to the Holidays. We get to celebrate Thanksgiving twice and Christmas twice! And somewhere a long the line squeezing in a visit with my baby brother who is just getting back from Afghanistan! And of course the New Year, I love thinking about all the possibilities that the upcoming year holds. Hell maybe we'll buy a new house.
