Welp. We're Moving

Cody and I have been talking about moving basically since we brought Lincoln home from the hospital. You see, this little 1,100 sq ft house really closed in on us once we became a family of five.

We had gone back on forth whether we were going to pull the trigger on the move this year or next, and don't even get me started on us deciding where to move to. Seattle? Spokane? Stay in the area?

I was so overwhelmed and lost on what to do with our little family, I kept telling people "I just need a sign".
Low and behold out of nowhere I received a cold call from a real estate agent, the 'sign' I was waiting for. So we rolled with it and signed on the dotted line, hoping to list the house in March.

So now that we had the spur we were waiting for, we started looking for what was on the market. We batted around the idea of building or buying or living out of a teepee.

All of a sudden we found IT. The house of our dreams. I had actually seen this magical house a few months back while casually looking, But it had been taken off the market and recently relisted.

So like all mature adults would, we called up our realtor and said "LIST IT NOW! We found a house we want to buy!"

Our house was listed last Friday morning, and after three showing we got a full price (+ some) offer. By bedtime Friday night all the papers had been signed and we were officially under contract with the buyer.

We were able to make an appointment to see the 'house of our dreams' today. And let me tell you, the four days we had to wait to go visit the house were excruciating! By the time this morning rolled around, I had researched the previous owners, the neighbors, & the school district. I couldn't seem to find any downfalls to the house or area. It seemed to just be the perfect fit for us.

So away we went just the two of us, thanks to Grandma Karen for babysitting. We drove the 2.5 hours north to see this 'dream house'.

A 1909 restored farmhouse.

Cody and I were disappointed in some of the updates that had recently been done to the house. They seemed to have been done cheap and fast, and required more work from us to fix them. So after talking it over with our realtor we made a low ball offer and it got laughed off by the seller. Which is fine. We mostly expected it.

So now do?

Well now we focus on packing and closing our house, move into a rental and keep searching for a house that fits the needs of our sweet little family.

House Tour // Master Suite

One of the last rooms to have some attention paid to it,
the master.

Its cave like qualities make it the perfect room for afternoon naps!

And the master bath...

There are lots more before and after pics on the "our home" tab at the top of the page!

This is Two.

To the girl who:

plays rough,

gives the BEST hugs,

is so stinkin smart,

wants to do everything Sissy does,

loves to play with Mama's makeup,

unicorn party

runs to Daddy when she gets an owie,

eats 24 square meals a day,

has the most infectious laugh,

hates fuzzies in the bath water,

rushes to calm baby boy down when he fusses,

climbs up on the top bunk to snuggle her Sister in the middle of the night,

is so loved in this world...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
